Biography 

Welcome! I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Missouri, specializing in Comparative Politics and International Relations. I am also a Fulbright PhD scholarship recipient from Jamaica. 

I hold a Master’s degree in Government with Distinction from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations (Hons.), where I received the Rosina Wiltshire Prize for the Most Outstanding Performance in the BSc. International Relations.

My research interest focuses on the developmental legacies of colonialism. Specifically, I am interested in the political origins and viability of independence-era constitutions in former British colonies. My broader research focuses on parties and voting behavior in postcolonial states, with a particular interest in national liberation movements turned dominant political parties.

My methodological research focuses on the use of panel data in political science, with a particular interest in causal inference.
